Sustainable products shouldn't complicate your daily life. Rather, they should be a genuine alternative to plastic sponges & co. and be just as easy and effective, if not better, to use.
Today, we're showing you 5 real alternatives for your kitchen; completely microplastic-free and without unnecessarily harming the environment.
1. Biodegradable & Compostable Sponges - The yellow plastic sponge is so last year!
Instead of wrapping your lunch in cellophane, you can simply put it in a silicone bag (silicone is made from sand, so it's not petroleum-based plastic and is completely food-safe). Unlike metal tins, the bag takes up hardly any space, is light and flexible. After use, it can simply be washed in the dishwasher and is ready for the next meal.
But it can do even more: you can freeze food in it, microwave it, or heat it in a water bath.
3. Bowl Covers - Stylish and useful
You can also use the covers to let dough rise in a bowl or to protect snacks on a summer evening (mosquitoes don't stand a chance).
Lovingly hand-printed, the designs are real eye-catchers and further beautify any table.
Additionally, you can use them to securely seal jars, cans, cups, or small bowls.
And the Food Huggers can also be easily cleaned in the dishwasher. Easy peasy!
You can use them to clean any surfaces, wipe windows, or as an alternative to paper towels.
You can also use them to store berries: simply moisten the sponge cloth, place it in a bowl, and put the washed berries on top. The sponge cloth absorbs excess water without drying out the berries.
The sponge cloths are also compostable.
We have various sponge cloths in our shop, design made in Switzerland!
