SwissFlax has set itself the goal of rebuilding the value chain for Swiss flax and operating it industrially. The flax is grown in Switzerland (Emmental), dried and tied into bales. The further processing of flax, ie the industrial breaking down of the fibres and spinning, is currently carried out in other European countries due to a lack of facilities in Switzerland. SwissFlax has set itself the goal of building up its own processing capacities in the medium term so that as high a proportion of the added value as possible can be achieved in the region.
