"in ignoto acquiscere" is Latin and loosely translates to "Finding comfort in the unknown".
This handmade art print was created during a time when much was beyond my reach and my influence. The uncertainty and inability to act were very burdensome, and the only thing I could truly do was make friends with this uncertainty, surrender to it, and find comfort in it.
Whenever you look at this art print, it reminds you that it is OK not to be able to influence everything and that it is OK to simply surrender to your destiny.
The uncertainty is represented by a closed door, the raven stands for destiny, and the eye represents looking forward.
Each linocut art print is lovingly handmade and unique. Every print is signed by hand.
Picture frame not included.
Black print on white paper.
Acid-free, PEFC-certified paper.
The printing is done using a traditional linocut plate, which was carved by hand.
Due to the slight irregularities in the linocut plate, every print features unique patterns in the ink and the characteristic vintage look of linocuts.
A4
21cm x 29.7cm
Due to the small imperfections in the linoleum block, every print results in unique patterns in the ink and the typical vintage look of linocuts.
