The aubergine 'Ronda sfumata' is breathtaking. Its beautiful white and purple fruits are very decorative and about the size of a large pear.
Its tender, aromatic flesh makes it a culinary delight. It can be sliced and grilled in the oven or in a pan. It is a relatively early variety that can be harvested from mid-July to October.
It can grow up to 120 cm tall.
Sow seeds in a warm location in seed trays from early to late February. When the seedlings are about 5 cm tall, prick them out into individual pots. Plant out outdoors from May 20th onwards, spacing them 60 cm apart in all directions, or from early May into a greenhouse. Always remove the first flower.
