Light yellow, pear-shaped pumpkin with a small core. It can be stored for months and develops its best aroma after about 3 months.
The butternut is a classic and one of the most popular varieties.
Sow from mid-April 1 seed in a 10 cm pot at approx. 20°C.
Cover only lightly with soil or sand and keep evenly moist.
Plant out from May 20th (be careful of snails!) at the foot of the compost heap or in nutrient-rich soil.
Frost-free cultivation necessary.
Distances 80-100cm on all sides.
Harvest before the first frost.
Store at least 15°C.
