Clove essential oil comes from the steam distillation of dried cloves. Essential clove oil is characterized by a high content of natural eugenol.

The clove tree is a small tree that grows in Indonesia, China, and Madagascar. It has evergreen leaves and red flowers or flower buds shaped like nails, hence the name "clove". Cloves belong to the same family as eucalyptus. It is a slow growing tree.

The oil is suitable for internal and external use, for room scenting and as an additive for care products and household products.
