The 'Wunder von Kelvedon' pea is a very productive and rather early-maturing variety. It produces beautiful green pods containing about seven green and tasty peas.
These can be eaten fresh or dried for winter.
Harvesting extends from early June to mid-July.
It reaches a height of 60 to 80 cm, which makes it suitable for growing in pots.
Sowing March-April.
For a row spacing of 40 cm, sow 1 seed every 2-3 cm at a depth of 5 cm, or plant 8-10 seeds in mounds every 40 cm.
Protect seeds from birds at all costs.
Trellising: For mound-sown plants, allow them to climb a branched stick. For row-sown plants, use strings or wires on both sides to tie them up multiple times.
Growing near carrots and potatoes is beneficial.
Harvest from June.
