Baking soda: The sustainable all-rounder!

Baking soda – most of us know the inconspicuous white powder as a baking agent. But baking soda can do more: it is a true all-rounder in the household! Whether for cleaning or as a natural solution for skin care – the uses of baking soda are almost unlimited. In this blog post, we show you how you can easily use this miracle of nature in your everyday life.

But first: What exactly is baking soda? Sodium bicarbonate is produced through a chemical reaction in which ammonia, carbon dioxide and water react with each other. This produces baking soda bicarbonate, which is then purified and dried. This is how we get the finished baking soda, which we can use in many areas.

Here's how you can use baking soda:

For cleaning
Baking soda is an excellent cleaning agent. It removes dirt, grease and unpleasant odors, especially in the kitchen. You can use it on surfaces, ovens or even to descale kettles.
In our shop you will find baking soda in large bags specifically for making cleaning products. Please note that baking soda has different degrees of purity and is not necessarily suitable for consumption.

For example, you can use baking soda to give your baking mat a deep clean: Simply spread 1-2 tablespoons of baking soda on your baking mat and work it in with half a lemon. Leave it to work for 15 minutes and then rinse with water. Done!
