Baking soda: The sustainable all-rounder!

Baking soda – most of us know the inconspicuous white powder as a leavening agent. But baking soda can do more: it's a true multi-talent in the household! Whether for cleaning or as a natural solution for skin care – the uses of baking soda are almost unlimited. In this blog post, we show you how you can easily use this miracle of nature in your daily life.

But first: What exactly is baking soda? Sodium bicarbonate is produced by a chemical reaction in which ammonia, carbon dioxide, and water react with each other. This produces sodium bicarbonate, which is then purified and dried. This is how the finished baking soda, which we can use in many areas, is obtained.

Here's how you can use baking soda:

For Cleaning
Baking soda is an excellent cleaning agent. It removes dirt, grease, and unpleasant odors, especially in the kitchen. It can be used for surfaces, ovens, or even to descale kettles.

For example, you can deep clean your baking mat with baking soda: simply spread 1-2 tablespoons of baking soda on your baking mat and work it in with half a lemon. Let it sit for 15 minutes and rinse with water. Done!
